BCM International is a consortium of four composers who strive to create high-quality literature for all concert and educational mediums. While diverse in background and stylistic approach, we share a desire to enrich the repertoire with music unbound by traditional thought or idiomatic cliché.

The Blog

Arrived in Stephenville TX this afternoon with Jim & Steve via flights to Dallas in from O'Hare, Newark, and LaGuardia respectively. Tomorrow we start a series of recording sessions with Jonathan Hooper's ensemble at Tarleton State University. From here we go to yet another state (and completely different climate) to join the Band Festival that happens up at Univ. MN Duluth next week, where plenty of BCM gets played, conducted, and taught.

But for now it's state-of-the-art laptops, Schoeps mics, miles of cabling, Steve's Motu 828, Jim's masterful recording engineering skills, and a whole lot of music to lay down...
